July 4th goodness

Our July 4th was lovely...spent much of the morning lying about in bed, then soaked for a good half hour in the tub, then ran to WalMart with Brenna, where we impulse-shopped our way through the place, then home to do laundry and bake banana bread (as well as a carrot cake to take to work today for a coworker's bday), then out into the neighbor's driveway where we had a multi-family cookout and watched the kids and men blow stuff up.  At one point, Connor even donned Chris's Marines flack-vest, if that's any indication of how much stuff was getting blown up.  Amazingly enough, no major injuries were to be had, no visits to the emergency room, etc.  It was a good day, and ended with us back in bed, watching Top Gun, to which I promptly fell asleep.  :)  Yay for days off!

And in other news, my birthday is this coming Friday!  Yay for birthdays!  :D
