Just been doing some deep thinking lately (it was a long train of thought that got me to this point...a train I won't fully drag you onto right now), and it made me consider something:

When you get to know a person online, you develop a certain idea of what their personality is like, and what kind of person they are.  Then when you meet that person in real life, a lot of the time, you find that they're nothing like what you'd imagined, and oftentimes, you end up not really talking online anymore after that meeting.  Though, true, I think the Faire community maybe doesn't quite follow this pattern as much as other online communities do.

We do that with other people in our lives as well....we get an idea of who we think they are, and maybe we don't think we have anything in common with them, until we get to know them better and find that they have a wealth of knowledge to share.

I think all of us at some point(s) in our lives have felt misunderstood and wondered if anyone out there really knew who we REALLY were.

As for me, I wish the image people had for me in their minds was that I'm almost always very kind to everyone, and that I'm smart, funny, and compassionate, and that I can sing, and that I love animals.  Oh, and that I'm competent as a leader, and should be put in charge more often.  :)  And that I'm a survivor by nature, and can be kind of scrappy.  :p

So...my question to you is: Who are you?  How would you define yourself?  What do you wish people knew about you that maybe doesn't show until they get to know you better?  Here's your chance to tell us.
