I signed up to bring food to my Thursday night class for this week, and am trying to decide what to bring.  The instructor told us that he "likes to eat" during class, and that one night in his last class, a lady who worked at a pizza shop actually brought in 6-7 large pizzas to share, which makes me think that he means EATING when he says "eating", and isn't saying that a simple box of crackers will cut it for food.  I know at least two others will be bringing food on the same night as I am, and I was able to ask one of them what she was bringing...she said she'll bring an assortment of chips/pretzels/cookies for people to choose from.  Hmm...okay...so the snacky starches are covered, as are desserts, if you just want to consider the cookies enough dessert. 

Whatever I bring will need to be able to survive through the workday (I do have access to a fridge, but as everyone else uses it as well, I can't hog the whole thing with big platters of anything), and I'd prefer that it be finger-food, so that I don't have to bring a ton of paper goods to go with it.

I'm currently thinking I'll make pinwheels (the roll-up tortilla things), but that seems so...boring.  Do any of you have any better ideas that will serve to soothe real hunger pangs but won't break my bank?  We have about 25 people in the class, total.

I'm kind of stumped.  Thanks in advance!
