Oddities

In honor of the complete stranger I friended just now, I thought I'd throw this out there:

If you stumble across someone's LJ whose sort of writing just fits right into your groove, is it considered Bad Form to friend that person and leave a comment saying you did so?  'Cause I just did that, and even explained that I'm not a crazy-stalker-person, but with the InternetzOMG, you just never know, hey?  Plus, I just said "InternetzOMG" in the last sentence.  But I digress.  The post reminded me of a cat I once had, and still technically have, if you consider the cat's (hopefully) still buried in the backyard.

I'm having kind of a weird day today...it's rather dreary out, and I'm actually working-working (yay!)  Had a deep psychological discussion with a girl at lunch today, in which we talked about our mothers and about Tom Cruise and Katie, and how Tom is a Freaking Scary Nutcase and how Katie should run-run-run-away from him before he pimps her out over the internet, and we didn't even once touch base on if Suri is really an Asian baby or not.

It's just an odd kind of day, that's all.

Optimistic Review news

Still haven't been given my annual review, but the boss did swing by and tell me he's not forgotten about me yet.  Apparently he'd had several other people submit reviews for me as well, and they rated me on the various things a person can be rated on, and when he tallied them all up, I had the highest rating out of everyone here.  So now he's having to re-evaluate it...to which I adopted a hurt look and asked if he was having to bring me down to a lower level...he kind of shrugged, like "well, what can I do?" but I know he'd not force a bad review on me intentionally.  But...happiness that the review won't suck when I finally do get it...that much is certain.  Yay!   :D
