Bunny guts
Yesterday when I pulled into my driveway after practice, there sat my cat with his neighborhood friend cat, chewing up a bunny. Mmmm. And just before dinner, too. I went to go for a closer look (oh, come ON, like you wouldn't?), and it was as if the bunny had been cut in half and the back end had been emptied upon the ground. The head and front quarters were nowhere to be seen. There was a lone eyeball set off to the side, which reminded me of how my daughter will leave one piece of pepperoni on her plate so it's the last thing she tastes when she's finishing her pizza, and the stomach and (I'm guessing) liver were sectioned off as well. The intestines sat in a nice little pile, and the back legs and rump were also set apart. It kind of looked like a monster cat's 5 course meal. Jack (the cat) was nice enough to allow us to look over his little feast, and then we went inside, leaving him to finish the remains. The kids went out a little later and said that the eyeball was gone. This morning, the stomach, liver, and intestines were all still on the driveway, but the legs and rump were missing.
Can't really blame him, I guess...I never liked liver either. ;)
Also yesterday, I picked my car up from the shop, where I discovered that the $156 bill was reduced to only $32, because they were being nice. WTF? I didn't argue, and as that was the explanation I received, I paid my $32 and ran. I then went shopping with some gift cards I'd been saving up and got nearly $300 worth of clothes for $164. Sales are wonderful things. :D
The weekend should be nice...got games tomorrow, and then will be heading down to C's, laundry in tow, as my dryer has decided to stop producing heat. Wearing scratchy air-dried clothes is no fun, I've discovered. Bleh.
I'm in a good mood today, so before the thought of scratchy clothes gets me down, I'll sign off. Have a good one!
