Each year at my kids' school, the 5th graders vote on a boy and a girl from the 5th grade to be their class representatives during the graduation ceremony. The criteria for the nominees were that they were good leaders, led by a positive example, gave 110% at all times, and so on. And Brenna won the vote! She and the boy who also won got to read their essays about what they would remember about their school when they moved on to 6th grade, and Brenna's was so good!!! I was so proud of her as she stood up to read. Prior to the essay-readings, the 5th graders sang several songs and in between the songs, kids would come up to the mike to read or recite some kind of introduction to the next song, and almost without exception, you couldn't understand the kids because they'd speak too quickly, mumble, lower their voices, etc. The boy-representative kind of mumbled his way through his essay, but when Brenna got up there, she held her head up high and spoke clearly and eloquently. What a great kid I have! :D Her teacher was crying by the end of it.

The packing is just about all done, finally, and tomorrow's the big moving day. I'm staying the night at C's tonight so that I can drive his Escape up to the house tomorrow, as he's borrowing his dad's truck as well in order to pull the trailer my friend lent us. I slept on the floor on a pile of blankets last night, as my friend took my bed away with him yesterday. My back's a bit sore, but not too bad. Should be in good shape for moving tomorrow.

Well, guess I should get back to work. I'll be off on Monday, so will update again on Tuesday. <3
