All alone...

My honey left this morning to go on a 2-day ride to NE with some friends. I was invited to go as well, but with the kids in school and a dog at home, I opted to stay home and man the fort. The 2 days will fly by, I know, but it's still kind of sad to me to know we're far apart. :p Aww.....
The weekend was wet, and my butt is bruised, I think (hah), as we rode a bunch on both days...on Saturday I rode my own into town where we ate breakfast, then over to the soccer fields to watch Connor's game (they won!), then we dropped my bike off at home and rode up north on Chris's to register for Bikers for Babies...then back down south to another Harley dealership where we joined up with a few hundred more bikers for a 9-11 memorial ride.
On Sunday, we got up early and headed out for Bikers for Babies...it was a good ride, but we got SOAKED. I'd bought a new riding jacket the day before and had to run it through the wash twice last night to try to get some of the mud off, heh. Chris took part in a wings-eating contest and came in second...he won free wings for a year, yay! (It was by Buffalo Wild Wings...a place we LOVE to eat.)
Good times, good times. Now for the next 2 days to go by....I do just fine on my own, and appreciate the alone time, but somehow my life just seems kind of colorless when Chris isn't around. <3
