Step, step, wheeeeeeeeeeee!
Jan. 5th, 2005 01:53 pmIt's rather icy outside, which would be good if I lived in CupCake Land, but not so good for me since I don't. But it IS rather pretty, so for that I am glad.
I stayed at home to work today, which has been an exercise in frustration, as refereeing kids while trying to handle Very Important Work is kind of trying on one's nervous system. I will be glad when I can return to my office desk, for the next time I have to work.
I moved my bedroom around over the weekend, and in the process, wound up with the side of my bed directly facing my mirror. I've had nightmares every night, which has led me to relocate the mirror to the back of my closet door, which does -not- directly face my bed at all. Why? you might ask...Well, I might tell you...the feng shui people say that if a mirror faces your bed, when your spirit rises to go exploring in the middle of the night, it will experience a nasty shock when it sees itself in the mirror, and as a result you will have bad dreams. I've had the bad dreams, sure enough, so we'll see if moving the mirror helps at all tonight.
One can only hope.
I suppose I should get back to work, here at home, which is not at all work, but a place where I am still expected to handle the Very Important Work nonetheless.
