I wish I had a suit of armor.
Feb. 8th, 2005 07:57 amThis afternoon, we are supposed to get hit with a monster amount of snow, and it should hit right around the same time as the doctor's appt I absolutely HAVE to go to. I'm dreading the dump of snow that I'll have to drive in, and I'm dreading the news that the doctor might bring. I dressed myself in jeans and motorcycle boots and a chainmail necklace today, as kind of a subliminal message that I am not to be messed with today, or maybe it's more of a way to boost my own sense of fortitude, so I can bear what may be to come this afternoon.
If God's at all listening to me right now, I hope he's making plans to hold off the biggest amount of snow until I can get home, and to make the doctor's news to be better than imagined.
I've got tons to get done at work today, and I've a feeling that today will bring many distractions, so perchance the chainmail necklace will yet wield its power over the heathens in this place, and will make them fear me greatly. Har, and Grr.
There are tons of bits of speculation about Fest news floating around, and based on the rumblings, I can't help but guess that the forest that normally houses the faeries will instead house either the Rangers or the Robin Hood gang (turning it into Sherwood Forest), or perhaps both. That's my guess at the whole shebang...we'll see next week how close I am to being right. But then...where will the fae go? Maybe in half of the forest? Or in another area? Or cast out of the fest altogether? The world may never know, at least until next week. How sad to think that the faeries might not have a home anymore. They were annoying to many people, but the little kids loved them. :( I hope they're not going to be gone forever.
