So....I picked up some super-pretty fabric for 2 bodices, and the fabric is a bit thick, but dangit, it was pretty AND reversible (sort of, or at least I'm making it be reversible), and as I learned how to make bodices from Bill @ Seamlyne, I've got a double-layer of trigger in between the inside and outside fabrics, and that trigger is also doubled over by about 2 inches where the grommets will go, so as to provide extra support for the grommets.

Only...this makes the fabric now so thick that I can't freaking get a grommet through it. I'm about halfasecondaway from going and getting the flipping TARP grommets that are a mile wide, because they come with a set of pliers. I've hammered through the fabric with an awl, and can shove things through the fabric just fine, but try and stick the prickly end of a grommet through, and all the fabric closes up. :(

ANY tips would be greatly appreciated and quickly tried.

I should never make costumes in a hurry, without stopping to think of things like these. *blick.*
