The weekend was wholeheartedly domestic...

Friday was spent taking care of grocery shopping and hanging out with my son, as my daughter was at a friend's house.

Saturday consisted of soccer games in the morning, then my son and I headed down to C's house (daughter went to another friend's house, the little socialite). At C's, we did some house-rearranging, and then headed to Home Depot, where we browsed through several wallpaper books in search of something my son would like for his new room. He settled on a hideous space themed set that glowed in the dark, that thankfully, seems to be discontinued. I found a really cool coat-of-arms border I hope he likes, as he's LOTR-crazy, and isn't even the slightest bit interested in space. I think he just liked the space thing because it glowed and featured violence (spaceships blasting each other.) *sighs* We went to dinner at a Chinese place that wasn't half bad, and then returned home.

Sunday had me doing more grocery shopping, this time for C's house, while C cleaned out the garage. After we got back home to my house, I picked up my daughter and we went shoe shopping (she needed cleats and I needed some walking shoes.)

Like I said, it was a wholeheartedly domestic weekend.

In other news, I got an invitation to a graduation party for this woman I had a few classes with at UMKC. Turns out, she lives right around the corner from C's house. I emailed back to her, telling her that, and she suggested that we could walk in the evenings. Sweet! And I just bought the new shoes, too! :D Funny how life does that sometimes. I can't help but feel like me making this move will be opening up a whole new chapter in my life, where things finally start to fit together at last.

And also, M&M's are evil.
