This morning's observations...

We rode the bike into work today, which was a little chilly but not so bad that I was miserable. Along the way, we passed a short bus that had a few kids in it. One little girl sitting by the window was in a motorized wheelchair of some sort, and I'm guessing by the looks of her, had cerebral palsy. Anyway, her head was tipped backwards, and she had a big grin on her face...her arms were raised and she was clapping along to some unheard music with glee. It made me smile. I think it's neat to see kids like that who are just so damned happy about whatever. They sure are cute.
In other news, due to a car accident I was in back in 1991, I have plates and screws and stuff in both ankles. Something in my left ankle looks like it's getting screwed up somehow. It's kind of red and swollen right along where the plate runs, and a few days ago, it was way itchy and I kept scratching it without looking at it. I'm hoping the redness is due to that, and not due to a screw working its way out. :( That would just plain suck. The ankles do act weird when the weather patterns change, but I've never seen them act quite like this. Hmmmm. Keep your fingers crossed for me that they heal themselves.
