The sky is falling!

Well, no, it's not really, but I hated the thought of writing "weekend update" as a title yet AGAIN, so this at least made you look. ;) Or not..maybe you sit at your screen all day and obsess over the F5 key, just hoping that I'll have posted something new. Or...not.
Anyhow, here's what went down in my neck of the woods:
Friday night: After driving the kids up north to their dad's, I came back home to find Chris nearly vaporized from hunger, so we headed over to Quizno's for a bite to eat. After that, we went over to
seer_of_athena's house where Chris did computery things to her computer while I lounged around with a cup of tea. It's hard being a princess, I know. ;)
Saturday: Got up early again for soccer games galore, after which we drove to Lee's Summit to quelch Brenna's hunger for Buffalo WIld Wings. Came home, ran to WalMart for gro-cries (yes, it's pronounced grow-crys, completely unrelated story there), ran BACK home and whipped up a salad, then headed over to
mljmand
billthetailor's house for a delicious dinner and wonderful conversation. I had the privilege of trying to get little Jami to go to sleep...something I've not done in SO long, and IMO, one of the Very Best Parts of being a parent of a little one. I fear we might have overstayed our welcome, but the boys just kept talking and talking, heh. Ahh well, sleep, schmeep, right?
Sunday: Headed out to Fest for the day, dog in tow, and worked the archery line per usual, taking turns with the dog. At the end of the day, Sasha made quick friends with a visiting Great Dane, and the two of them had a hilarious romp in the lane together. Sasha got herself good and dirty, hah. Once Fest was over, we headed home to find the kids had been dropped off by their father at around 6pm, and hadn't been fed. *sigh* So we pulled together some dinner, and as we were eating, I just about fell asleep. I have no idea when I'll finally get caught on the Zzz's...hopefully that will come tonight.
Tonight I've got an appointment to meet with a counselor at Baker University. I've been thinking about getting my Master's for awhile now, but am caught in that space where I don't want to emerge with my Master's in a specific area, only to get bored with that area within a few years' time, and yet I also don't want to emerge with a general degree and have potential employers turn me down because I didn't specialize in anything. So I'm looking at the Liberal Arts degree, which is also what I have my bachelor's in, and which course of study I just LOVED, and we'll see what kinds of options I have for areas of concentration. Ehh, we'll see. Right now money's really tight anyhow, so this may come to nothing more than just getting the info for the future. But you never know.
I guess that's it for now...I really just wish I could go home and go to sleep. :p
::Edit:: I'm feeling rotten all of a sudden, so I've rescheduled the Baker meeting to Wednesday. Ugh. I think I really will go home and lie down. :(
